Our

Story

It all began with our own restaurant and event catering business in the Rheingau region

BALZER & Co. GmbH was established in 2002 by Michael Balzer. From an early stage, Michael Balzer brought his passion to various fields and ventures, including his own restaurant at Schloss Reinhartshausen in the Rheingau region.

This was followed by further restaurant locations in Wiesbaden, company restaurants and in-house catering kitchens in Frankfurt am Main, and a nationwide event catering service, which was booked

by international companies right from the start.


In 2017, BALZER & Co. underwent a reorientation and relaunch based on all these experiences. Since then, the focus has been on the core business: the careful planning and implementation of all the aspects of culinary events, including competent event management.


With this relaunch – focussing entirely on the company’s core competence – Michael Balzer created space for new ideas.

 

This entrepreneurial courage has enabled us to grow in a targeted manner and to develop our passion even further.

Our focus is on catering and event management, which we offer within our ‘Premium’, ‘Business’ and
‘Creative’ lines.

 

In addition, there are a large number of event venues in the Frankfurt metropolitan area, which we offer as an incoming partner for destination management companies and the meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions sector, along with additional event services such as participant management, event technology, hotels, shuttles, incentives, entertainment and trade fair support.

After holding various positions in Frankfurt am Main in the 1990s, where he repeatedly set up catering departments in well-known companies, he developed a desire and a passion to achieve an unmistakable standard in catering presentation – across quality, service and ambience – in the context of events and catering.

Michael Balzer’s motto is as follows: we believe in the power of change and that every challenge helps us move forward and enables us to expand our wealth of knowledge and experience.
